Stonehouse, 18 October 2017
UK Power Solutions, the utility connection specialists, has launched a Graduate Training Scheme.
UKPS, along with the IET, recognise that SMEs are the lifeblood of the engineering sector, which is currently experiencing a huge skills shortage. By devoting considerable time and resource to a graduate training programme UKPS has been able to start to attract the next generation of engineers into the industry.
Six new graduate engineers have joined the business in September fresh from University and will be embarking on a 12-month training programme in our London and Stonehouse offices. The program will give the graduates a breadth of knowledge across the business that will embed them firmly in the UKPS methodology and culture that has helped to turn UKPS into the UK’s leading ICP.
Commenting on the Scheme Brian Cooke, Sales Director, said:
UKPS are delighted to have launched the Graduate Training Scheme. We are keen to promote the career aspirations of all our employees through their professional life. To be able to recruit new graduates straight into our Design and Estimating Departments is a sign of the growing maturity of our business. We recognise the importance of growing and developing our own staff as a key factor in our success in building a sustainable business for the long term.
